ABOUT ME

In addition to teaching French, I have also enjoyed creating art, including jewelry making, collage, and watercolors. Seven years ago, I put the latter endeavors aside and devoted my creative free time to illustrating and writing a book, Disco and Me/Disco et moi. I did so because I saw a need for stories that ignite curiosity about places, culture, and language of the Francophone world, that are written at a novice to intermediate level. I also have always loved colored pencil, it part because of reading and loving Leo Leoni's illustrations in Fish is Fish as a child.  The illustrations in Disco et Moi are done with Prismacolor Soft Core pencils. 

I live on Mount Desert Island Maine with my handsome and handy husband, Stephen, and my fluffy and spry Double Doodle, Porter.
